50th Anniversary: Malaria Free Italy

On 17 November 1970 the World Health Organisation officially declared Italy a malaria-free country.

Istituto Superiore di Sanità and Sapienza University Rome, key institutions in the achievement of Italy’s malaria elimination, celebrates the 50th anniversary of this historical achievement with two events:
